Get Acquainted Party

Are you a new or potential member of the Beth Emeth family? Do you know someone who is thinking about joining? If so, there is a wonderful treat in store for you. New and potential members of the congregation are cordially invited to a Get Acquainted Party on Sunday afternoon, March 29th, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Lynne Ellick has graciously volunteered to host the event at her lovely home in Hockessin.

This is something you won’t want to miss. There will be an abundance of delicious finger food and beverages to enjoy in the charming atmosphere of Lynne Ellick’s home. Membership information will be available for those who are considering joining the congregation, but there will be no “sales pitch.” The party will provide a perfect opportunity for new and potential members to get better acquainted with each other and our congregation—to enjoy noshing and schmoozing with each other, members of our clergy team, and temple leaders.

Don’t miss out on this event. Call the temple office or Adele Kessel to make your reservations. Adele will be happy to provide directions. Questions about the event or temple membership may be directed to Verna Schenker.

Caring Community Connection Survey

The Beth Emeth Caring Community Connection (CCC) was established to create a warm, caring atmosphere at Beth Emeth by reaching out to our congregants in a supportive and helpful manner. A variety of subcommittees comprise the CCC: The Bereavement Team, Birthday Recognitions, Caring Community Corner, Caring Cooks, The Friendship Team, Home for the Holidays, Holiday Care Baskets, and The Transportation Team.

In the course of our lives, each of us encounters many changes which affect us in a variety of ways. These may include marriage, birth, illness, or the loss of a loved one. It is at times such as these that the values of our heritage and the support of our fellow congregants can be particularly meaningful. With this in mind, the Caring Community Connection is trying to gather information on the needs of our congregants. We encourage you to complete the survey to help the CCC determine how we can best meet the needs of the congregants of Beth Emeth. Surveys can be returned to Beth Emeth c/o Vicki Simon.

The current members of the CCC are looking for new members, new ideas, and new input. Please consider joining this committee to experience the feeling of being a part of a warm and caring group of people while reaching out to others. The CCC meets the first Monday of each month. Contact Vicki Simon, or the Temple office @ 764-2393 if you are interested in becoming a member of the Caring Community Connection or if you know someone who may benefit from the support or assistance of the CCC. The Caring Community Connection is a way to show you care…Please join us and make a difference in the lives of others!
