Now is the time to meet new people, and build lasting friendships within the home of Congregation Beth Emeth…through a Chavurah group.
What is a Chavurah? A Chavurah (friendship group), provides the opportunity to interact with other synagogue members who share common interests and lifestyles, within an intimate group setting. Chavurot members can acquire enriched synagogue experiences, expand their social interactions, and enhance their Jewish consciousness. Mainly, they just have fun!
Did you know that we have several active Chavurot at Beth Emeth? Some are accepting new members. Listed below are some of the groups who are actively looking for new members:
Young families with Elementary school aged children
Young Professionals
Mature singles and couples interested in Jewish Study
Mature empty nester couples interested in social and jewish-related activities
Young Women’s Group – Baby boomers interested in meeting new women for social and intellectual activities
Mature Women’s Group – Women aged 70 and above interested in exploring common interests for learning and friendship
Interfaith Chavurah
In addition, we are always looking to form new groups by placing families and individuals together who have similar interests. Our goal is that every congregant who wishes to be in a Chavurah will get placed in one.
